From the recording Praise Jehovah

Lyrics

I never thought the laughter would fade into the night, Or that I’d have to face tomorrow without their face in sight.
The stories that we shared still echo in my mind, Like footprints in the sand that time could never hide.
If only for one moment, we’d gather once again, I’d tell you just how much I miss my dearest friends.

Where are my friends, where did they go?
They used to be beside me, so faithful and true.
Now the silence fills the places where laughter used to be, And every passing moment brings back their memory.
I still hold on to hope, though tears may gently fall, The love we shared will always live inside my heart through it all.
Where are my friends? I miss them more than words can show, I’ll carry them forever, wherever I may go.

As time passes by, I miss them more and more, I see them at the meetings, but can’t speak when I walk through the door.
I’m reminded how obedient I need to be;
Should I ever return, that’s what they’ll surely see.
Their faithful love and patience never seem to fade away, They still reflect Jehovah’s love in every word they say.
I pray that one day I’ll be standing by their side, Serving Jehovah faithfully, with nothing left to hide.

Jehovah, hear my humble prayer,
You know the burdens that I bear.
Please guide my steps back to Your way,
And help me draw close every day.
I know Your arms are open wide,
With love and mercy as my guide.
One day I’ll stand with joy once more,
Back with my friends, forever Yours.

Where are my friends?
Where are my friends?
Where are my friends?
